WELCOME TO LM CAHILL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL! We look forward to meeting you in the coming months. LM Cahill Parent Teacher Association has put together this web page to let new families know exactly what it is the PTA does.



PROGRAMS

Throughout the school year, Cahill PTA sponsors and funds a variety of programs. Below is a brief overview of some of these programs.

BIANNUAL BOOKFAIRS-PTA sponsored book fairs aimed at getting at least one NEW book into each child’s hand, November & May

PUMPKIN FUN NIGHT-Children dress in costumes and enjoy games and treats in safe environment, October

HOLIDAY CRAFT FAIR & SHOP-Children create crafts to be sold at affordable Holiday Shop, December

PARENTS AS READING PARTNERS[PARP]-Month long reading program that offers incentives and family fun nights toward reading goals, February

SOCIALS-Dance parties for 5th & 6th graders

CAREER DAY-PTA arranges classroom speakers, May

SPRING CARNIVAL-Fun, fun, fun. Games, prizes, performers. Great way to kickoff summer, MAY

ASSEMBLIES-PTA funds educational and entertainment assembly programs

FIELD TRIPS-PTA funds admission and costs for off-premise field trips for EACH class

***EVERY MONTH, CAHILL PTA PUBLISHES A NEWSLETTER NEWS AND INFORMATION ABOUT UPCOMING EVENTS, AS WELL AS A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL IS INCLUDED. CHECK YOUR CHILD’S BACKPACK AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH MONTH.



PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT

Studies have shown that parental/family involvement in a child’s education greatly increases the success of the student. Please know that you are always welcome at Cahill. The PTA offers many resources to families to become more involved in every aspect of their child’s education.
